Homeowners are entitled to a tax reduction, if they experienced the loss of their home due to a fire and had to relocate during the timeframe it took for repairs to be completed.

The homeowner must provide the Fire Incident Report to the Monee Township Assessor’s Office.  The Monee Township Assessor’s Office uses the Fire Incident Report to determine the total of the reduction based upon the amount time (months) the homeowner was forced from their place of residence due to repairs being made to their home.
